Behold, the rear arches/chassis of a Nissan Pathfinder. basically they get the same tin worm chassis problem of a Navara without the snapping in half bit.
i'm going to run this thing into the ground and it's 7 years old, so taking the time now before the welder gets dragged out. existing paint on the chassis is vanishing, and some pitting/scale starting to appear in the problem areas.
Outside is in hand and i know what i want to do with it as you can see below and i'm cleaning, descaling, and using copious amounts of phosphoric to get a sound surface for painting, then a couple of coats of epoxy primer before anything else.
As for chassis internal, from what i can see/feel, it's getting a bit crusty, but no major scale. I intend to run a drain cleaner power washer attachment through the chassis to get the loose stuff off, then dry and use Dinitrol ML cavity wax.
Question is, should i be using RC900 first? i've done plenty searching on the forum and web, but cant find anything conclusive. Wondering if anyone has any experience after extended use? Not cheap stuff, and wondering if a good coat of cavity wax will be sufficient?
