Dinse 30-70 connector R-Tech

I have an R-Tech 201 AC/DC fitted with 30-70 Dinse connectors I think the WP26 torch that came with it is a bit large so I'm thinking of getting a water cooled 20 but they don't seem to come with the connector I need. I seem to be able to get 30-50 connectors fairly easily but not the 35-70's does anyone know where I can obtain these and one last thing is how do they attach to the torch is there a screw thread?

The Dinse connectors are 35-50mm or 50mm-70mm (+ a smaller 16-25mm version), they should be 35-50mm on yours. Suitable torch adaptors available here - 1st + 2nd in the list of adaptors - if you are going water cooled, or here - 2nd in the list of adaptors - if you go for a smaller, air cooled version. They just screw on to the end of the torch lead.

Thanks for the reply my Dinse connector is definitely 35-70 I've added a pic to show you, so it seems it's an unusual size then, would a 35-50 also fit my welder?

I've a couple of 35-70 Dinse connectors the 35-70 refers to the cable size that the connector can take, the male connector pin that is inserted into the machine bushing is the same diameter on all the larger cable connectors.

There is a small dinse connector pin (16-25 mm cable) or then the larger connectors (35/50 and 50/70 or 35/70 size cable), I also believe there's a 95 mm dinse cable connector as well for those who need real power....

Indeed as above, my r-tech just takes the bigger size plug pins 35-50mm cable is more than enough for a 200a set.

You say 35/50 and 50/70 or 35/70 size cable are these all for the same cable size and if so why are they different numbers I must admit to being a little lost by all these numbers?

Ok thank you, but do you mean 3.5 to 5.0mm as 35-50mm is 1,1/2" to 2"?

no 35mm to 50mm, it's the cross section area not the diameter.. 25mm square is only about 8mm or so diameter..

Bloody hell it's getting worse still at least I now know that a 35-50 will fit which seems easier to get hold of, thanks again for your help...

all cable is measured and sold by cross sectional area, so all cable fittings are also measured in csa to make life easier. all you need to know is that the 35-50mm dinse plug will fit, and the cable you already have will also fit the 35-50mm plug. afaik they are a screw connector, so you open the screw up, push the bare cable in and then tighten the screw down, replace the rubber cover and plug it in and start welding

Let's see a photo of your connectors then..
There are a few oddball ones out there but pretty unusual

In the past I've had to knock a bit off the tiny square on the end of a dinse connector with a file because, while it was the right size, the manufacturing tolerance was a little off.

Obviously if the connector has no chance of going in then it's wrong; but if it goes in but does twist look at the tip for any rubbing and consider filing it down a little.

I think of dinse connectors in terms of "big" and "small" to avoid all this cable size confusion lol, there are only two common sizes.

It's big dinse, 35-50 by the sounds of it

ive had another look at connectors and its definitely different, on my rtech 180 connector is the same as original op, exactly as in his pic 35/70.
the mma lead and connector i have is 35/50 and does look as though its just too long, it goes in but wont twist and falls out.
i will attempt to file it down but it looks a good bit longer.
