Hi, im new on here and would like some reasurance.

Ive been welding TIG and MIG
for nearly 8 years in various settings and environments and love it alot!
I wanted to up my game and better myself so ive started a city and guilds welding and emgineering diploma with a company called brightsparks welding. Its very comprehensive and really enjoying it. Is this the way to go to? Cheers

My son is training with Doosan Babcock as a Plater, in readiness for the expected explosion in 3-5 yrs time of Power Stations been built/modified.

Once he's done his Platers he's going to retrain as a Welder, specialising in TIG.

So no I don't think what you are doing is a waste of time. (I've no knowledge of the Company or the coarse so I'll nott comment)

I actually thought the same thing yesterday regarding the expected explosion. Its more than likely.

To be fair the course is very comprehensive and covers things in great detail. Its just a big investment.

All education and training is good and if its welding you like..........thats good as well.
If you want to earn the big money be prepared to travel and to be constantly tested.

I was told that i would have to travel and be tested alot before i signed up. Im Willing to do both.

what Was worrying me is the cost of the course. Its 4 figures which seemed like a lot but its a worth while investment.
