diving compressor

I.m looking on getting or making a compressor for filling
my diving bottle for my pcp air rifle. Any ideas greatfull.

Probably have to be 3 phase or a massive engine. 300 bar is a lot of pressure to generate, ive never heard of anyone privately owning a compressor with that capability.

I use to own an old Dunlop air compressor, which originated from an offshore production platform, used to blow the bank bottles for which would shut down major systems ops in the event of a major loss of power.

I fitted a 5.5hp Honda 2 stroke engine, comp would blow my 15 ltr 232 dive tank with ease, my 3 ltr, 300bar bail out tank with ease, too.

Depends how quickly you want to work it.

I've got my eye on one at the moment, runs on 3 phase, think its a 2hp or 3hp motor, it's a 3 stage pump for filling dive bottles, but the guy who has it is tight as @$$, maybe if I ply him with money lol, what are they worth?..

£750 and up. I keep my eye them, most go for 800+. A mate of mine got hold of one that needed a new valve, I offered him 250quid for it, cheeky yes but he got it for nothing, he turned it down, telling me a couple of weeks later he sold it for less than £300 to someone he didn't even know. Some mate

I run a compair Challenger diving compressor and that is a 3 stage 350bar compressor capable of delivering 250lpm at 350 bar. Cost nearly £8k new. There is no such thing as a cheap second hand diving compressor unless its knackered then it's going to be a world of pain to fix. Mine is tested yearly for air quality and as actually the compressor I use when spraying for the mask as it runs through a gas blending panel which reduces to 140psi for workshop air.
