DIY air dryer

I'm after some advice on building an air drying system from copper pipe & my only concern is that by the time I've put either a ball valve or a filter at the bottom, I will only get a drop of 3ft before I hit the bench.
So as I'm restricted on the height could I just make it wider as going across the wall I have plenty of room & make it with 5 valves or filters with the 3ft drops, instead 3 or 4 valves with say a 5ft drop for each one.

Heres mine, probably only 1mtr drops.I don't use it very often anymore but never got any water past the second valve.
edit. just checked and breeze blocks are 215mm high so would be less than 1mtr.

I had a similar issue, instead I made a horizontal zig-zag over 3m of 28mm copper with a shallow pitch for about four runs. There is a drain at the lowest point. I fed the air in at the lower end and the outlet from the top which then goes into the ring main. I do get water out of the drain if the compressors have been working hard and the drains on the ring main and the regulators are always bone dry.

Been looking at making something like this out of 22mm copper but then thought would a central heating radiator work?

im useing an hydralic oil cooler of a dead hydrovane, automotive engine oil cooler also work massive surface area for a small thing being a proper radiator ,

my personal oppinion with useing plumbing pipe now is if your going to use it use a pipe bender and have the runs almost horizontal zig zag it down the wall then have a water trap right at the bottom that way all the water gets caught in 1 place and it drains it for you when the system is depressuriesed

Try not to worry about the height and drops, it's the amount of copper tubing you use which will determine how much the air is cooled and how much condensation can occur. The more copper tubing you use the better the result.

Not had a drop of water appearing at any outlet yet, in over two years.

if your hardly using much air for long you hardly get any condensation . use a large amount for over 15 minutes and it will pour through when it gets hot
