diy paint shaker ideas?

I seem to be using aerosol paints quite a bit recently. To make life easier some sort of paint shaker would be good.

Other than doing it by hand, has anyone got any ideas on How to make something?

put some heavy curtains in your washing machine and put it on fast spin, leave the can on top with a magnet.
Alternatively, put the can inside with the washing and set it to a very short cycle

A friend of mine used to bathe his spray cans in warm water prior to shaking, then shake with one hand whilst directing warmth onto the can from a heat gun in the other hand, always got good results. Just be aware of the maximum safe heat exposure stated on the can.

How about tying the can to your leg then going for a cycle?

Make a clamp, that goes round the aerosol can, a big jubilee type clap will work well. Attach a rod to the clamp that can be tightened In the chuck and then rotate on the slowest speed

If you are using a lot of spray cans buy a compressor or HVLP system and avoid any shaking?

Attach to a cheap and cheerful orbital sander !
