DIY pedal lock ideas

Bob is locked in a secure compound but when we are finally out and about we would like some better security so I was thinking of making a pedal lock, any top tips for a DIY one?

Always found my old Doberman to be pretty effective

No point, they just pull them on to a trailer these days. Park it up out of sight and strip it for parts, happened 6 times this year locally.

Cut the pedal off completely and make a sleeved joint with threaded pins, taking the pedal with you.

Just copy the original one with some steel plate and a lock

I would try and get a bar under the throttle pedal and clutch pedal to lock the brakes on if possible.

That way can make an **** to move either way.

Put a keyed line lock in the brake circuit

That’s exactly what they do either hiab or just drag it up the road

They might get £500 for nicking it and the receiver will earn a few k ringing it but if they want it they will take it

those awfully helpful Disklok people who can re-barrel a disklok, also used to sell a pedalok. I had one on the RS.

basically a hook over the brake pedal with a metal stick with slots on, and a bracket that fastened up under the steering column with a loop on that went through the slot, and a large padlock locked it together. this security device is going to cost a bloody fortune if you factor in the time all the forum members are putting in to try and help you out

Probably cheaper to sell it and buy something less desirable.

I have looked at returning it to Disklok but as the lock button is pressed they can't re barrel it?
Bit poor for such an expensive product?
The challenge is open this tinter web thing has no mention of DIY repairs / mods with judging at some of the mad stuff on Youtube I am quite surprised at so off to then shed with the cobalt drills lets see if I can rebarel it my self?

But its how to get the new one in? Might have to do some surgery on the old one to see how the barrel fits in, any one know a good lock smith as I need to source a new barrel?

Surely a steering lock is a better deterrent than a pedal lock? Or is that old fashioned?
