Diy pressure pot - copper or black iron piping?

Looking to build a pressure pot similar to the ones on this forum, i have a load of 15mm and 22mm copper pipe but from what i have seen, everyone else uses the black iron piping.

Is there a specific reason? Cost ? Is the iron pipe better? Does it have a higher pressure rating?

I have made a compressed air line to my welding bench using 15mm copper but just wondered about using 22mm for the pressure pot.

Thoughts ?

theres hardly any steel pipework on them the fittings are all threaded bsp ball valve reg valves and water seperator t pieces and nipples the rest is rubber hose so its pointless using copper pipe apart from that the steel pipe is stronger

all the fittings are half inch bsp . the blast hose is 10.0 mm thats on a pot using a 3mm blast nozzle the larger pot is 15mm blast hose using a 6mm jet
