Do I need breathing air hose?

Hi, I'm new on here and wondered if anyone could answer a question please? I have just bought a three stage filter and an air fed mask, the airfed mask (Devilbiss Vizi) does not have its own carbon filter so do I need breathing air hose between my filter and mask? Or will ordinary 9mm hose be ok?

As long as it's new hose(i.e. no oil contamination) then it doesn't need to be specifically for breathing air; hose is hose really until you start doing things like putting HP oxygen down it. New hose will pong a bit from plasticisers etc, so possibly rinse with water then let air flow through to dry it.
