Do short air hoses exist!?

I'm trying to rig up an inline water filter without adding 5m extra of hose! I'd rather the fixing to the compressor be flexible; braided tap connectors all seem to be rated to only 6 bar and the shortest hose I can find is 5m! All I need is 1m to go from the compressor to a rigid pipe.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I probably could use a whip hose. I'd rather something with threads than a quick coupling. It's an option though

That's what I do. You can but hosetails in various threads.
I use O clips rather than jubilees, and normally double clip each end.

If you take it to a local hydraulics place they will usually clamp the ends with the correct clips for some beer tokens, they may even sell a suitable hose

Some tap connectors are rated to 15 bar and I used one of these for a 3/4 tap and it has been fine. Just used the 300mm one to get from tank to fixed pipe on wall.

On making your own; buy a good hose and cut off what you need. Then buy two barbed fittings. Use one on each half. Then you get a hose the length you need and a spare

On my compressor I used barbed fittings and some high-pressure fuel line that was easy to buy by the foot at an auto prts store.

the water filters need to be around 18 feet away from the compressor to be totally effective, they operate via the condensation method and having it close to the compressor means the warm air will heat it up and stop it working after a while

I use one of the toolstation tap hose, it works fine.Got it connected to a lot of zig zag copper pipe with take off taps at the lower points to drain water then the filer unit.I get water from the first tap,no noticeable water from any other tap and none in the filter.Only takes up about 8 foot length of wall space.

Thank you for everyone's responses, my intention is to run a flexible hose to a single vertical copper section, with a tap at the bottom and a filter at the top. I know it won't be perfect but my needs and budget suit something this simple.

I've identified this on ebay, rated to 10 bar and plenty of length. Should be just what I need. Can anyone confirm, will 15mm threads fit with 1/2" or 3/4" BSP fittings?
