Dodgy mask

Hi,this is my first post but been reading for a while and a great forum it is.
Ive had a bit of a problem today with my mask.Everything was working as normal and i had to change the lens,following this it seemed as though it was set to 13 or more and i could see hardly anything but it was actually set to 9.anybody know what the problem could be?

give the glass a clean as well as any plastic covers mine did that a while back

Did you take off the plastic protection film before putting in the new lens?
Obvious but, who knows?

If you just changed a spattered clear cover for a new clear cover, I can't see how that would cause what you describe.

I'd guess you've got a problem which came up at the same time, nothing to do with the cover at all. A problem with the adjustment potentiometer being faulty or a broken connection.

yeah after trying everything i can think of it seems as though the thing is on the blink so ive got rid of the electrics and just replaced them with a normal 11 shade and two clear covers.to be honest its much better than it was in the first place anyway as i have twice as much viewing area now.thanks for the replies.

make shure the three light sensors are clear,one at top centre,one each bottom corner, and low battery will give the same effect,,had mine for 15 years in rain,dust ,work shop enviroment,,only ever was sensors or low battery that gave any probs,,
