Does this look ok, Guyson blast cabinet

Hi found this online here is the write up and pics.


Used Guyson shot blasting cabinet and dust extraction system. I have used this many times in the past. It was disconnected about 12 months ago when we last painted the floor in the workshop and has not been connected back up since. It's time to paint the floor again and i am fed up with shunting it around. All hoses, blast gun etc are present.Working condition is not guaranteed - but i see no reason why it would not work. Cabinet base is 42" x 30" and the top of the 'box' is 67". A good industrial piece of equipment looking for a new home. Currently surplus to requirements. Please accept that this item is USED, the original packaging is long since gone; we have had it for at least 6 years. It has had a couple of plates fitted in the past and may or may not require some more. If you are proposing to use it in your bedroom, i would advise against it (or seal the doors and windows up) - however it has always given me good service

said they have painted the floor and disconected it and 8 months later or something they carnt be bothered moving it around while they're painting the floor again so it's for sale.

Late to the thread, but that looks like an earlier version of the Guyson DBH2 I have; think I paid a couple of hundred for it a few years back with the extractor - which was 3-phase so I couldn't run it until I changed the motor.
The triangular plates secure Guyson's own moulded gauntlets in place but the gauntlets were £80 a pair last time I asked! I made some fibreglass adapters so I can use standard round-cuff gauntlets, a few quid from Arco.
You'll need a good compressor: my 100L 3HP struggles to keep the pressure much above 60psi when used flat-out, have to keep stopping to let it come back up to 80psi, then it can really shift (can go to 100psi but the filter starts leaking).

Guyson stuff is top quality so it will do the job but as said above it will need a 5hp + compressor, the bigger the better really.

Spares are still available from guyson. If you speak to them and tell them the size of your compressor they'll sell you the correct size air jet for the gun.
I'd say it's worth anything between £150 and £450 depending on condition. I refurbed a similar one and would want the top end of that figure at least to part with it now.

Don't bother with the guyson gauntlets or "flaps", way too dear. I fitted similar to these:-
