DOL Starter + Overload Query

Ok,

Newbie back again with another question relating to my compressor.

Have had to get some bits manufactured by a local hydraulics company to refresh the compressor a little as it leaked air when tested.

I have managed to get it in position, heavy little sod (Ingersoll Rand 242 Upright with 150ltr Tank). The wiring was in quite a state when I got it, but that has now been sorted finally!!

Question is, where can I buy a DOL Starter with Overload suitable for a 3hp motor? A bit of flexibility would be excellent, as I may upgrade it to a 4 or 5hp motor in the near future.

Any help would be great.

Hello Steve,

just try your nearest electrical wholesaler. You can buy the contactor that will cover the range of motors you plan on and also the overload block should cover that range so you don't need to buy another, just reset the trip current setting.

do a google search there is bound to be a motor rewind place near you they normally do control gear.
