Hi, Being a fan of all things "gas bottle" related, My son has just sent me this pic. It could really do with some sort of slow lowering ram, At least if it did chop the kids fingers off, they would keep things tidy and they would fall into the bin,
Could be useful in the shed/garage,
Also, a little design fault, I think is the pedal linkage, With the lid closed the pedal will be quite high off the floor,

Sort out the finger trapping hazard and I bet they would sell for a pretty penny in a west-end store,

it looks like the top and bottom joints on the vertical rod articulate and when it closes they move in an arc motion to the front of the bin rather than move downward on the rear of the bin...hard to explain but i know what i mean

I know what you mean roofman, The lid joint has a forward motion and not just a downward one.
