Door handle spring cassette, floppy handle!

I've got a pair of upvc door handles that have faulty spring cassettes that I can't find replacements for, the handles have gone floppy!
The handles are from a company called Old Forge and they weren't particularly helpful when I phoned them up insisting I had the invoice number from when they were bought, the problem is that the window fitter that installed them ordered them but won't return my calls
Here's a photo of them,



It's the crappy plastic cam that bares against the two white plastics blocks that has actually failed. There's a huge force put on them pushing the springs back!
They measure 80mm long by about 25mm wide but everything I can find online is only 65mm long!
Any ideas?

All You will realistically get is 12 months warranty... is your time worth it ?

if you want to replace the plastic and you can

just get stronger plastic and refit back into the lock

note i would have said delrin but not so sure of it

to replace the plastic you should be able to replace by taking the handle out

oh and at least you know not to shop at the handle company again dont you

maybe a 3d printer job ,,, or buy some brass and do it once , if they ever should wear out a spot of braze ,, just a thought.
Infact looking at them , would a brass shim ontop of the plastic do the job , take up the slack and work as a bearing surface / wear plate

Whats wrong with a drill and a file? Oh I see you get a new machine..... carry on

nope ,,,, just cut it to fit on top of the plastic part to fill the gap , put two small screws into the plastic if it wants to fall off , at either end where they wont be in the way of the turning part.

I had a problem with a brass handle on our wooden front door, the spring had collapsed I got some high density foam rubber from where I worked at the time and replaced the spring and it was fine for years till we replaced with UPVC doors and windows
