the new britool sockets are the same as all the rest of the sockets there churning out .a few were missing out of my old sets so bought original second hand ones of eblag which cost more than the new ones , better qualityJust had to fork out £40+ for a particular Snap-on spanner as they were the only people making one that would get were needed!
However I agree that Halfords Pro range seem good, feel good and ,as has already been pointed out, have a good warranty.
Also rate Facom and Beta. The local Beta agent is always up for a deal which helps!
Teng always come out well in comparative tests but I've found their stuff a bit "clumpy" See that Ed China in the TV series Wheeler Dealers seems to have been equipped by them.
Don't know about the quality of the current Britool stuff but I still have and use Britool sockets and combination spanners bought 50 years ago when every trainee agricultural engineer aspire to a Britool Tractorman's Repair Kit!
