drag car chassis building, please inspect!

hi all!

my son is in the process of building a back half-ed drag car, and is building the chassis from scratch. using a hobart 210 (240v) with 75/25% mix .035 wire. frame tubing is 2x4 .120 wall. round tube is .120 wall. would like some opinions, and guidance on the welds from the experts. no cage yet on order. will be 12pt. and still plan to gusset the seams where the chassis comes together, but dont want a failure either since this will also be a street car making good power. it all layed pretty flat. (as for the last 2, i think i need to reburn the top horizontal weld hotter? and the extra bulky part on the last pic is because i was afraid i undercut that spot too much)

Theres quite a few on here that are street/race car builders, me included,
At a first glance the welding looks to be of a decent standard, seen much worse on some real fast cars,

Weld quality is equally as important as tube layout and design,
by adding plenty of triangulation into the chassis can mean less strain on the welded areas,

What car is it and horsepower/intended use?

nice! here is the love! i do plan on adding lots of triangulation in the cage, and still have to do all the "fish plates" but figured i would ask some experts before i got too far ahead. this is good news so far though! i appreciate it guys!
story on the car is.. i thought it was nice when i bought it, but water had gotten in the frame. i was just going to "mini tub" it, but i realized it was too risky when i started notching the frame rails and saw all the rust inside.. so i cut everything out, started on this chassis and stopped to work on another car... this was 4-5 years ago, i built 3 cars since then, and this sat in the shed. so now i have to sand all the surface rust off the frame tubing. (in case you were wondering why its so damn rusty. haha. it is a 93 mustang coupe. planning on twin turbo 700hp. street car with occasional drag strip time. i was hesitant on saying the make, because i didnt want the gm guys to hurt my feelings. hahaha!

I'm partial to GM stuff owning a '66 Chevy ii SS, but you cant deny that those 80s/90s Mustangs are the backbone of the sport in the US,
owned a 95 Mustang a few years back so i suppose i'm in both camps

i have a 95 gt on drive way...wish i had of gone for the 93...a lot better to tune ..95 had the cr@p eeciv control unit...nightmare thing....
