Draper Air Tools

Hellllooo and happy new year folks.

I'm almost ready to start welding, picking up gas at the weekend and then I'll hopefully have something interesting to contribute to the forum..!

In the meantime I was wondering if anyone has any experience using Draper air tools and if they can attest to their quality? I have my eye on one of these at the moment. Their hand tools seem okay for the price, but unsure if the same value for money translates to air tools.

One thing to be aware of, I'm pretty sure that sander is a random orbit, I have a generic one that is exactly the same and cost about £20.

even draper is better than a lot of the cheap carp but air tools good quality dont fetch that much 2nd hand(as a lot of people dont have a compresser) and the better quality tools will use less air and work much better

Draper air tools are not that bad.
I have had a few, best was the air drill what was able to take a 13mm/1/2" parallel shank drill with ease.

My air drill is Draper Emma and it's absolutely fine. They are not top of the line tools, but they are fine for what they do. I can't attest to that particular random orbit sander, but I wonder if you wouldn't be better off with a die grinder if you have a compressor man enough to run it. Some roloc disks and you have a pretty useful and versatile tool, scotchbrite pads are very good in one.

Have to agree with @mpats , draper air tools are more than good enough for occasional use. Worth fitting an oiler on tools like this because its the lack of that normally kills them. I have a draper 4" air grinder and use it regulated down for the odd occasions I dont want 13000rpm and sparks flying everywhere.

To an extent I would agree that for occasional use they are fine, but in your post you said "tools" and being plural I would assume you are looking for other things; for operating costs compressed is the highest cost so for some tools an electric item may be better and much cheaper to run over their lifetime, and more durable.
