Drill sharpening jig.

Been wanting to make a drill sharpening jig for my small bench grinder for ages and finally did it.

Works fairly well and I made alot of swarf testing it

It seems accurate and the drill cuts on both flutes.

Nice project and looks the business, I made similar out of some wood scraps thinking I was probably wasting my time but it worked perfectly, it was planned as a prototype for a better made one and am still using it as it is.

Yeah, I bodged it together as I went along with the intension of making a proper one when the design was sorted but it works and looks ok so why bother.

Found mine, once I have the two cutting faces done I just roll back a bit from the cutting angle, never had drills as sharp and it was one task I could never get right

Its just a temporary stop to set the angle for the jig. Will make something better and adjustable when I get a chance.
