Matt wins the (virtual) cigar - it's a torch.
The machine consist of a dry ice grating build inside to form palets. thats whats different from the normal blasting machines.
i would like to try to put dry ice pelets into a normal blasting pot to see if it does blast out the paint of my car.

It won't work. Normal blasting pots need grit, dry ice pellets will just sit there subliming into CO2 gas.
If you do try this, let us know how you get on, and be aware that the CO2 produced can suffocate you, so make sure you're very well ventilated.

The machine is loaded with ready made dry ice pellets, they come in an insulated box like this...
These are the pellets being loaded into the machine...
I suspect if the process could be used in a regular blasting machine it would have been done already?

It is air, and lots of it!, the machine we have at work uses a 1" bore hose to feed it.

It's not rocket science. The whole system is designed to cope with the extreme temperatures encountered due to the use of dry ice, whilst insulating it to keep it solid. A normal blast system would probably explode spectacularly at some point in use, else you'd end up with severe frostbite at best from the uninsulated tooling and lines.

Dry ice cleaning effect is certainly best but cost is higher because dry ice cannot be used for recycle while goes into sky...
