The flanges are very expensive plus I don't have the knowhow to design my own, I don't like the v band clamp style, I'm hoping at some point to get a damaged split tank and copy the design, everything is cut and drilled by hand, my main aim, with this was to guage time, make adjustments, guage interest, split tanks and other designs I have in my head,Nice welding. They didn't have return filters, though.Was problem years ago with M/C's with oil bearing frames .

Mind you, the True Slave of Entropy usually grit blasts the oil bearing element of the machine very thoroughly.
Did an Ariel Square Four engine where that had happened. The bloke got about 500 ccs of blasting bead out of the oil tank.
