Hi Guys,
I have one of those auto-darkening visors which seems to be ridiculously over-reactive. Once you've struck the arc you can see nothing except the arc, no idea how or where you're welding.
Until now I've always used a 500w floodlight a few inches away and this just about gives enough light but it's still easy to go adrift, but now I've got lots of little jobs to do on a car bodyshell and could do without fiddling with the lamp.
So question is, are all visors this bad, or do I have a dud ? Would mention that adjusting the brightness control makes no perceptible difference.
Thanks.
