Dust/Fume Mask

Hi All

On the edge of getting a welder, and now looking at masks. Apart from the visor for welding, do you all also use a face mask due to fumes/dust etc?? If you do, which sort should I look out out for as there seems to be lots of different 'standards' EN140, EN405 etc.... These types are in MachineMart - just wondering the best one to look at???

you should be ok as long as your notin a little room so it cant go away otherwise you should be fine unless you suffer for things like

EN149:2001 FFP2 is the standard for welding masks. Its very dependant on the type of welding you are doing. If you are using stick some are pretty nasty. If using MIG as long as your not doing galv and you have plenty of free air you should be OK with out but if in doubt get some about £30 for a box of 10 from Arco.
