trouble I find with them wearing glasses they make you rglasses steam up when its cold and u breath out even though the masks have a valve in them

pdg is correct, mask has to be fitted round your conk properley. 3M dispos shown here, they are FFP2 which might be more protection than you need but thats no bad thing in my book, I buy a box at the welding supplies shop as they do me a deal.
3M blue and white mask on left is actually dispo but for more than onetime use, lasts me quite a long time, Arco mask is replaceble filters type for more serious lung nasties.
Bob Heath anti fog can be found at motorcycle shops. A squirt on both sides of the lenses can reduce fogging if you cannot get a really good fit with the mask.
I'm lucky in that I only need reading specs for some jobs, but when I do, I have minimal probs with fogging of lenses, (brain fogging-thats another story).

I just picked up a new mask with replaceable filters. The price was a bit scary but I have been going through at least one disposable one a week at over a fiver each.
The filters in the new one are said to be good for a month in most conditions so if I get even half that my costs have halved.
It certainly seals better ( you check by blocking the out valve and exhaling) if you have leaks on the out breath then you need to work on fit
Best of all its made here in the UK in the same County of Lancashire
Got a pack of ten filters so will be using it about a year
About to go melt some zinc off some steady rods ( threaded stud keeping two parts locked from distortion during galvanising) . Will be handy but I will also be outside with a blower on

Hi yes it's the bit on the bridge of me hooter that is the problem, have found M2 masks on the interweb , I think they are for cyclists and they look to be a fabric type with carbon filters, gonna check the local bike shop to have a butchers at one ---if they have them, will report back when more known, failing that a pack of the high end disposables looks favorite,

the silverline foam pads for the nose are spot on as a glasses wearer no steaming of glasses tried the other ones and they always steam up one other thing you need them to be used with no beard on your face

So big saving darn near a year covered, better filtration over the ozone welding disposables which are trash in a week and cost about £5 - £250 a year? Against £ 77!

3M or Scott Safety gear is what I will always lean towards. I don't think Scott Safety do any disposable ones though but the masks and filters are second to none.
ALWAYS, no matter who makes the mask and filter, make sure its rated for the job and covers all aspects of the particulates you encounter.
