Earlier Pump cut in?

My 50L Compressor reaches 120 psi & cuts out. But only cuts back in at possibly 60 psi?

Adjusting the cut off valve could I get it to cut in when it drops to 90 psi instead?

It's a 2hp motor, So it will be working overtime I can only imagine!

some switches have the large spring adjuster for max pressure and a small adjuster screw for the differential

On the differential screw adjustment what effects does loosen left vs tighten right have? Which widens & which closes the gap?

Should be easy enough to adjust as above posts I bought a new small compressor a few years ago and ended up suiting it off on its furs use because it failed to shut off and shot the gauges in to the red fortunately I was watching so knocked it off and reset the shut off switch

The safety release valve should blow before pressure can get high enough to damage the compressor

@pedrobedro yes that's why it needed adjusting as well as the gauges going in to the red the release valve had blown off so all that was going to happen was that it was going to keep running all the time
