Does anyone happen to know if there are any weld-on, bolt-on or something similar flanges suitable for one of the big EFI fuel pump assemblies? Specially it's a fuel pump / sender assembly from a petrol P38 but I think they are the same threads as Td5 onwards Defenders, Discoveries etc. I think my 2011 Range Rover has a similar sized thing so I think it's fairly standard but can't find any information on it. All I've come across are for plastic tanks rather than metal.
Basically I'm modifying the Sandingham 6x6's fuel tank to take one of these pumps, I need a high-pressure EFI pump for the V8 and it makes a lot more sense to have a standard LR part that's designed for it. The height (as the pump unit is sprung loaded) and sender are compatible with the fuel tank and the gauge in the 6x6.
Ignore the Perkins cylinder liner in my hand (I was checked to see if it was a suitable diameter) but here's a picture of the tank the assembly is usually in. There's a rubber seal that sits inside the threaded part (which is 117 or 4 5/8" ID). The locking ring is the grubby red thing to the right.
And this is the fuel pump assembly
I can make a suitable flange and have it bolt in with a securing cap but if there's a ready made one that can be bolted in then it would save me a lot of faff. Particularly if I'm to retain the original seal rather than have to make custom ones.
