time I bought one of these,any recommendations,don’t want a feeble 1000watt job though,needs to have balls.

Always had good results with ex hire gear as they service them regularly.

buy once buy properly.....loads to choose from....personally, Hilti no 1, then Makita or Hitachi....wont buy Bosch anymore.....Milwaukee, another good make...
depend how much work ur gonna do with it.......
or, would say a cheap n nasty from Lidil/Aldi but keep the receipt n box for the 2-3 year warranty....

Mines done sterling work, gunned up a few footings demolished big opening in houses used with a clay spade. I would happily by another one.

Do they publish vibration figures for it? How do they compare with more mainstream brands? What does that imply for your daily HAVS diet?

as does mine. bought it 5 years ago as i got ****** off using a little titan sds to break a wall up. did all the heavy breaking in the house, then all the groundwork for the garage with it. plus all the runs for the drains, then gave it to dad as a thanks for helping me with the house, and its still going strong all this time later. gets used a couple of times a week.

Awful, these size breakers are until you get into £1000 mark.

They had the titan breakers on a clearance deal the other week, with a voucher they were down to nearly £100 - annoying as I paid full price for one not too long ago.
Its OK, does the job and made short work of digging up a driveway - infinitely better than doing it by hand or with an SDS breaker.

They are probably terrible for vibration rating and unlikely to be anywhere near the quality of a Hilti or Hitachi - but then if you are asking "what breaker do I need?", you aren't using it professionally ten hours a day seven days a week.

It is a usable tool that does the job for about a tenth the cost of the professional alternatives. Hard to knock it really.

I bought one of these to break up a concrete patio...it was bloomin amazing.

Had no need for longer term use so I sold it on to my mate (a lot cheaper than the hire!)....he does lots of fencing and as far as I know is very happy with it.

1) It's a beast to lift. 2) It drinks and leaks oil. 3) It's worst feature is the vibration. It like vibrates the sweat out of all the pores on your forearms and they then start to sting.

Go to your local flea market and buy either a milwaukee breaker, a hilti or a kangoo. I have a heavy milwaukee in the plastic blow moulded box and its been fine for jobs around the house although for lighter jobs i have a makita 4kg breaker with SDS Max chisels and for light chiseling i use an older milwaukee heavy duty hammer drill.
The heavy breakers do come with metal cases as well, get one of these i you can for better protection ! Milwaukee 900k is the model number...search it online...

Thanks for all input,decided on a Chinese,German design,as I have a lawnmower of this make,that apart from a duff fuel pipe has proved excellent.this arrived Saturday.
