Electric shear recommendations

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a set of electric shears for cutting sections out of 1.0mm steel and 1.6mm aluminium sheets. I have an Edwards Pedicut guillotine and an old bench shear, but want a hand tool for quickly cutting out a piece from a sheet without having to man handle the whole sheet.

I have a Makita nibbler, but they're horrible to use and send those nasty little pieces everywhere, which are not good for customer tyres.

I have been recommended a Makita JS1602. Apparently it is supposed to be the dogs b's. The cheapest set is £300.

I have a bosch version of that shear.
It is indeed the dogs danglies and I see no reason why the makita wouldn't work equally as well.

1mm steel is no problem for my Bosch and I think it's 300 odd watts as well.

I have that makitas big brother that I've been meaning to put up for sale. Cuts steel up ro 3.2mm allegedly, though I've never tried anything that thick.

I have one of those cheapy ones. Seems to be fairly robust, though have only used it on the odd piece of thin van panel though.
