Electropolishing of cast iron

I am interested in having a cast iron exhaust manifold electropolished. Is anyone familiar with this process? Any idea of the normal cost?

The information I have seen generally relates to stainless steel.

Alternativley does anyone know what the chemical is used in the bath.

I don't think you will be very impressed as only microns are removed from the surface of the material.
I used it once for dull polished stainless and that was not great. The process is ideal for re-finishing highly polished work after welding etc.
As far as I know the chemical is just electrolite, its the electrolysis that does the work.
I would have thought the best job for a cast manifold would be hand polishing and traditional nickel or chrome plating. W/A
