Elliott Progress Pillar Drill

Hi guys, I have this Progress pillar drill which some of you will remember. I’m not near it right not but I need to order a 20mm mt drill bit. Just wondering if anyone happens to know what MT size this is. I think it’s a MT2. I can’t even remember the model of the machine but worth an ask in case any of you know.

I'd assume MT2 as it looks like a Progress 2G. The bigger 3A was MT3 and it's a bigger and different head on it.

That looks like a late Mk2 Progress 1S in which case it'll have a JT6

Definitely not a 2G. It's a Progress 1.

It definitely won't be MT2, Kim. Maximum recommended drill size for the model 1 is 9/16" about 15mm.

Yeah about 5mm but needs to be 100mm depth. Because I need to drill the other side which is also 5mm ish

Definitely not a 2G. It's a Progress 1.

Right enough. Sorry @KimB , my mistake, i could have sworn your picture has a backgear lever in like the larger 2G drills have

You're drilling 100mm box section with 5mm wall? Watch out for the welded seam if you are, it'll make a pilot drill wander if you hit it.

Just checked my progress drill (bench top but looks identical) and it’s 6JT as @daedalusminos said above
