Empty Schutz Gun Cannisters

Does anyone know if you can obtain empty schutz/stonechip type cannisters to fit the Schutz Guns.
Waxoyled my truck at the weekend, and emptied out an old stonechip cannister to fill with the hot Waxoyl, but every time it got nearly empty the suction was trying to implode it in, due to it being made of very thin metal. had to keep blowing it out again with an airgun and rubber bung but it all got very messy.

They do exist but I could only find them for sale in the US.
I was using the gun to paint my house, in the end I used a plastic milk carton as a reservoir.
Are you sure the pinhole on the gun isn't blocked causing it to vacuum?

could you prise the plastic thread/ring out of the tin and attach it to something more heavyduty?

This ^^^ If you have a non-pressure feed shutz gun, check the hole isn't blocked.

Not much use to you right now but for the future, I save my old gravitex bottles for this purpose.

all I do is heat the galleon container in HOT water in a bucket and leave it in there, then push a length of fuel hose on the pickup tube of the shutz gun other end through the spare top of the container and use it as normal

ah ha ------I use one of these,

with two of these in it

then that must make it------ a two galleon bucket

Ill check the gun, and good shout on saving the top off the now dead schutz tin, not that I EVER want to waxol anything ever again. PS bathroom flash with bleach and a big wooden scrubbing brush removes waxoyl from skin and leaves you nice and shiny pink

The old stonechip can should be fine and shouldn't suck in, it needs to be vented, look for the vent and check it isn't blocked as has already been said. If you cant find a vent just make a small hole in the top of the can.

White spirit or brake cleaner will wipe it off no problem without any of the scrubbing
