Engagement present.

Nephew and his girlfriend got engaged at New Years so I wanted to make something for them.
Took until today as inspiration had not struck.

First off a heart made of my usual rod and scraps.



Next I made a couple of branding irons ( I use the term loosely!) with their initials.



Used on an offcut of timber salvaged from Fathers house move. He tells me it's Monkey Puzzle.



Waxed, with a dowel in the rear to make a basic stand.



Bit more buffing to do, but I'm quite pleased. No telling what they will think, but they know I'm a bit 'eccentric'.
