Hi hope some can help I have esab orgo tech and when it dimmed
You can see round the outer edges of the screen it's like it's a lot darker right in the centre any ideas regards .
I have had a few of these that have been pretty poor. I raised the issue with ESAB....
My email to Esab- When looking through the lense, there is an obvious shade difference from the top right corner, to bottom left corner. When welding, set at shade 13, the intensity of the light in the bottom corner is perhaps as much as 3 shades different to the opposite corner, which is quite irritating. I have previously returned one to our supplier as it was like it straight from the box. Its replacement, gradually became worse. Again, had another which was noticeable straight from the box. Can you shed some light on the problem for me?
ESAB Reply.... Yes this is a problem common with people doing positional welding across most ADF lenses. Generally it occurs just as you have described from one corner of the lens diagonally over to the other.
Recently there has been improvements in 'Angular Dependance Compensation' or ADC technology for short which virtually eliminates this occurrence. Our New-Tech ADC+ welding helmets feature this technology.
The filter itself will continue to remove 99.99% of UV & IR however it will be the visible light which, as you say will be the irritation.
Attached is a copy of our PPE & Accessories catalogue with our range of welding helmets in it.
I took this to mean something along the lines of - its a cheap headshield, if you want a better one, spend more money.
