hi , has anyone any experience of theses ? just bought a new one off e bay £115 inc post i needed something decent for tig work .
already have a sif lite which is great but needed something a bit beter for the low amp tig stuff

I've got one. It's lovely. Both darkness and sensitivity can be adjusted. Darkness from 5 to 13, and sensitivity from very very down to very. I've never had trouble with low amp TIG - that's what it's designed for. It can even do plasma on a shade 5.

I have had the earlier version with the same optical unit and controls for over 15 months and its been really good.

Very sensible looking things. Though I do occasionally have the urge to "phone home" while welding for no particular reason. Must get some replacement covers for mine. Really scratched and recently covered in overspray.

Well it arrived today , not used it yet but it looks a real quality piece of kit .
adjustable in just about every way ! shade 5-13 so good for plasma cutting , even has a grinding mode .(which i wasnt aware of )
id like to say it will be my tig only helmet but i doubt that will last

will be using it tomorrow so no doubt i will be singing its praises again

i know what you mean about the compulsion to phone home now malcolm

i bought one of these helmets brand new for a job i have just done in libya we had a load of kit sent out by a russin antonov cargo plane from the uk and guess what when the kit arrived to site no new esab eye tek 11 helmet i was realy ****** off but as allways it was mister nobody who had it.got a new one again now and it is a very good pice of kit.
