On the first pull of the MIG torch trigger, the helmet will flash me. On the second pull it'll auto darken like it's supposed to. On the third pull, it'll auto darken again just fine. Let the helmet sit for a minute, it'll flash me again on the first pull. Sometimes I can "activate" it by holding it up to a light source before pulling the trigger and it'll auto darken on the first pull. It seems as though the helmet is timing itself out after sitting for a length of time. The battery charge icon shows a full charge. The batteries are the factory original batteries. This is the ESAB Sentinel A-60.

UPDATE :
I was able to speak to the Senior Technician at ESAB yesterday. Today I have the new cartridge in my hands. That's correct, he sent the cartridge overnight via UPS. I could've had the cartridge a long time ago if I was able to cut the store out of the equation and talk to the manufacturer directly. Lesson learned: Cut out the middle man whenever you can. Communication between two people is far more accurate.

Glad you got it sorted, but I'd maybe suggest editing the post and taking the tech's name out. Reason is that he clearly went out of his way to help you but this could now backfire on him, either by being deluged by customers contacting him directly for all sorts of issues or even getting a reprimand from his boss for circumventing the process.
I'd say it's enough to note that ESAB sorted it out for you.
