ESAB Warrior Flashing Me

Hi all, my esab warrior has started flashing me now and again today and its really peeing me off. The low battery warning light hasnt come on and it hasnt been dropped *today* as far as I know haha.
I can't see that the battery is replaceable, got a clear lens and sensors all clean so its not that.
For a £70 helmet I would say it has done well but it is only a year old. A lot of hours on it though, and it has been abused.

Any ideas?

If the digital lens is removable try taking it out and in the top right corner there may be a small black removable "tray" type thing. That is what usually holds the battery, they are usually the little round ones & most of the time if you can figure out the size of it then you can buy them off ebay for a couple of quid. I don't know if this is the case with the ESAB helmets but that's how my Miller digital elite works.

If not, it looks like there may be a new mask in your future

Sealed units I'm afraid once they are gone they are chuck away. they are pretty decent for the money. 1 year isn't that great though I'd expect it to go longer. Have you given the sensors a wipe to be sure they are picking up the light.

I haven't tried wiping the sensors Richard will do that. To be fair, this helmet has rolled around the back of my car, truck, the van, been used in rain and 38 degrees direct sunlight this summer onsite, been dropped countless times, I'm surprised it's lasted this long. I will probably buy another one for site work.

Another annoying flashing thing watch out for any plant with flashing beacons !! In the back ground and far away depending on your sensitivity setting drives me mad sometimes !! This will make your helmet flash ?

Yep had that too but this is actually on arcing up, there is occasionally a delay. I think it is some of the sensors it seems to happen more when my Torch hand blocks the arc on the right side of the mask
