Euro torch conversion worth it?

I've got a cebora pocket turbo 130 and the thread in the neck has stripped so I can't put any new tips in it. For the price of a new neck I could do a euro torch conversion.
I already have a steel liner in the factory torch assembly, so will a euro conversion make much difference?

It would be more convenient in that you could have a short torch for working at the bench and a long one for working under a car.

Is there any problem with getting the cheapest chinese euro torch or are they all the same?

Would the neck not accept am M6 helicoil?

Hmm no idea as I don't have any to try.
I tried to retap the thread but its an odd one, I had a 6x1 and a 6x0.75 tap but neither were correct.

I thought those torches took a standard M6 Binzel type tip.

All sorted. Turned out I was being a spack and didnt know how to use the thread gauge properly
