Been looking around the sound for a good while now and thought id say hello.

Have the use of a Clarke mig 90 pro, an old one that i need to check over as its been stood for at least two years.

Need to find a friendly landlord to get a pub co2 bottle and get a reg.
I did consider going gas-less but as its an old one i cant reverse polarity so think ill just get gas set up.

Only wanting to do it for a bit of a hobby. Ill probably go for the obligatory gas bottle wood burner to start with.

Good luck with the CO2 bottle but if that fails have a look at the Volkszone offer in Welders and equipment - shielding gas on here. It may be worth while......

Have you looked at the supplier list in the Wiki, or done a Google search, for Co2 you can normally find lots of sources.

Not sure if it bothers you, but with the old luggable unit I got fed up hauling the Co2 bottle around with the size / weight so used to use a CO2 fire extinguisher - CO2 regs will fit most of them. A local extinguisher company removed the dip tube (save turning it upside down) from one of them for me and only used to charge a few pounds for each refill
