I had a load of stainless flu pipe which I cut in half to form a sheet and decided to try a Falcon with it. I have changed the design on the wings of this one making the top of them from one piece just to see what it looks like. I plan to detail the wings with the gouger on the plasma running it across quickly for feather effects. Im also going to detail the face on this one so lots to do yet. I have 4 of my aviary on display at Threave Gardens, Castle Douglas at the moment and have found how important it is to get the mounting's right. Your sculpture can be the most beautiful thing in the world but if the mounting is wrong its nothing so I aim to concentrate more on how to mount them.
My plan with this one is to make another Falcon diving and have this one mounted above it flying searching the ground both with pipe fixings with a rod that fits into it welded to a large oval plate
