use the 4mmI'm running a 240v 150 amp inverter stick welder off a 6 kw generator, from the 32 amp socket, i'm making up a 20 meter extension cable, iv'e got 2,5mm, and some 4mm arctic cable, is there any point in using the latter or is it overkill ?
I phoned a pal and he reckoned it didn't have a smoothing capacitor.
Any thoughts?
Average small arc welder (let's say a cheap AC buzzbox) capable of using 3.2mm E6013 rods would produce a welding output of 110A at around 25V.
