Ok so im still new at all this... I have a small 2hp 25ltr compressor, I would like to add more storage to it to save the constant running when im using my tools as we as hopefully being able to run slightly higher power tools due to the extra volume of storage.
I have been searching for a while for an old reciever tank, but I just dont seem to come across then, trouble is where the truck only does about 18 to the gallon I cant travel too far.
So I have been thinking, can I use a 19kg - 47kg propane/butane cylinder, I was reading that they are tested to 30 bar, so that is ok, what I really need to know is what do I have to do to make it fit, can I use the existing valve/outlet and connect it to my compressor ? or do I need another type of connector ? and what type of pipe can I use, could I use airline hose or would it need to be copper pipe ? I am guessing that the pressure switch etc would cover the extra tank as the two are connected, is this right ?
I can get hold of a 47kg bottle easier than a compressor tank, and I am guessing the 47kg will hold about 100ltrs of air, so this would boost my systen loads.
All your experienced advice is always appreciated.
cheers.
