So had this micro socket set for a number of years now and it has served me very well. It has moved on too a new owner though as the burmees second engineer has been coveting it since he fist saw it and I have sold it too him. Its not a factory standard set and has a few additions and changes too make it more useful too me and onboard ship. Link too new set for comparison. https://www.primetools.co.uk/product/facom-r1pico-14-drive-flexi-ratchet-screwdriver-bit-socket-set/
It's small enough too fit in an overalls top breast pocket and also is a nice snug fit in the front velcro pocket of my veto pro pac tp 4 tool pouch, with enough space too fit in a few extras as well.
Here is a complete list of the bits And sockets I have in the tool kit.
Phillips 1,2 & 3
Slot 5mm and 8mm
Hex 3, 4, 5, 6, & 8
Security torx 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, & 40
1/4 hex to square adaptor
6 point 1/4 socket, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, &13
The 11mm socket is one I added and I would like too have added a 7mm but never got round too it. The 6mm was a odd choice in my opinion on facoms part but that's just me as I always seem too need a 7mm not a 6 and 8 only very occasionally. I also changed around some of the screw driver bits and added a tx40 and an 8mm Allen bit. As you can see from the pictures the 3mm Allen bit is kept inside one of the sockets there is little rubber hollow pegs too keep the sockets in place and the 3mm Allen bit fits in them very snugly.
The ratchet its self is a very neat and well thought out item. It comes with its own extension stored in the case lid. As in the photos the extension can either be locked at its maximum length by missaligning the white mark on the ratchet head with the extra flat on the extension or it can pass right though giving you a variable length extension. The added bonus of this is coupled with the magnetic bit holder socket on the bottom of the ratchet it can be used as a t handle. The extension can also be used too extend the overall length of the ratchet for more leverage and works very well in this application. The indexing locking swivel head is a nice touch and is very strong and allows a bit more access too those tighter places. Have found that when trying too get in somewhere really tight a bit and the ratchet can be a little big but I suppose this could be solved by finding stubby bits too fit the ratchet. To give you an idea of the strength I have used it too remover permanently loctited in 13mm bolts (can't remember m size off top of head) has never slipped or complained.
The case its self is a thing of exquisite build quality, the latch is strong and the whole construction is good looking but functional.
Only down side is its quite difficult too clean out if you obsess about keeping tools neat and tidy.
In conclusion I really can't fault it as a tool could have a better selection/some more useful bits and sockets as standard but that's a personal thing. Would definitely buy again if I wasn't a toolaholic and liked trying different things.
I'm pondering weather or not to get another one or try one of the wera tool checks. I do have a spare ratchet and extension at home from the bit version of this kit and they will be going too permanently live in my tool bag as I can see there being some downsides too the wera setup.
