fancy lump hammer......

been trying to find who make a lump hammer with a twisted head.....
I'm sure I have see it on here.......

I definitely know a few people who could take out a normal lump hammer and return it twisted....

You might be thinking of an angle pein hammer or diagonal pein hammer.

I've turned a few lumps of tungsten into bucking bars.

It's a bloody nuisance.

Grinding discs hardly touch it, carbide and indeed HSS milled it ok though..

Reckon the bandsaw would chop it ok if I had to do more.

they get a bit pricey too , a flat heel dolly in tungsten would be a mighty thing to own ,,,

Tungsten ain't cheap and it's hard on tooling.

would a cheap lump hammer and a flap disc be the way to go ,,, I reckon an hour and a few discs and you would have something like that ,, ish ,,, or a barley sugar twist one ,,,

even nicer then ,,,, trouble is some things then just get '' too nice'' and then all you can do is look at them and polish them once in a while ,,, but thats another thread all together .

Its the lump you sent. The triangular shape is the main problem, couldnt grip it easily to get tools on it. I should have another go..

Could you join a piece of normal steel to it to make it the correct shape? Does tungsten silver solder in the same way as tungsten carbide? Gorilla glue and light cuts.
