Far away compressor

Allo I'm a newbie
I have a brand new 14 60 3 hp clarke compressor donated by my company after 25 years of servitude. I want to operate it remotely, it's mounted on a mezzine surrounded by 100mm of insulation to cutdown it's 97 decibels of deafening.
I don't want to climb up and remove insulation every time for shutdown. I've considered the possibilty of removing the entire switch assembly and moving it down, which would involve new plumbing and electricary.
An alternative idea is to fit a solenoid to operate the switch, there can't an off the shelf unit. Ideas please

why cant u leave the switch turned on at the compresor and use a double pole on off switch in the line feeding it at a low level back near the supply .it hasnt a contactor coil starter on it has it

My compressor is on all the time. Kinda a pain when it decides to refill at 2:00AM

I kill the breaker if i don't want it to run at random times. I just make sure to only turn it off when the pressure switch has cut off. That way, the pressure is released and it can start up easily later.

Or move the switch like you said. My compressor is in it's own shed outside and the pressure switch is mounted on the wall in the Raj. I also large have a double pole switch, you need to be able to disconnect it.
Watch the insulation keep it to toasty.

I have done a similar thing with the switch in the shed and the compressor next door.

The pic shows the pressure switch with an air pipe from the compressor coming through the wall into the "T" behind the gauge. The blue cable is the power to the motor. The compressor has it's own centrifugal unloader so the switch shown doesn't have the extra pipe that you would need to unload the pressure between pump and tank.

that will be fine as long as you let the tank fill so it unloads the delivery pipe before turning off, that way you wont put strain on the motor next time you switch it back on

or drain the pressure off after its being turned off i sumetimes leave mine full after it has unloaded i burnt a motor out on one of em last year the presure switch stuck and it ran for hours during the night blowing the safety valve

Do you need to get access to the tank to drain the condensation off too? One to think about.
And if you don't do that, you should.

Because I use a lot of compressed air I just drain the water off daily, but leave the tank under pressure. I always make sure the compressor switches off and unloads before isolating the power supply.

I have replaced the draincock with a hosetail and fitted a remote drain valve to save grovelling about under the tank.

Our compressers have auto drainers there solinoids in the outlet pipe wired into a timer that sends a pulse occasionaly
