Filling air bottle

Hello,

I have a air riffle that uses a air canaster and i refill that with a bottle of air which costs me £7.50 every time i want it filled.

Could i use my compressor to fill the refill bottle?

is your compressor pump rated to the 300 bar that a 3litre dive tank is filled too? You also have to consider the moisture in the air from the compressor, when you get it filled they use breathing air, this stops the internals of your rifle corroding

i use a hills 3 stage pump and it doesn't take long. I also have a bottle but it only costs me 3 quid a go at the club in in so i don't mind it

What size cylinder are you using? It may be the same price to get a larger cylinder filled.

I'm paying £3.50 to get a 12L cylinder refilled and that lets me refill an HW100 about 40 times.

I'm guessing the fill pressure will be far above what your compressor can deliver

the fill pressure of the dive bottles is 300 bar and the fill pressure of most rifles is 200bar or 232bar

Doesn't a fridge motor, give a greater pressure than a normal compressor, equally as its oil lubricated the oil will keep your rifle nice and cleanclean

you are paying alot for air though, i pay 3 quid to have a 3 litre bottle filled and wyn pays 50p more for 12 litres
7.50 is a lot

who are you using at the moment? I use sportsman and the club im in, both cost about the same but the club is mainly shotgun orientated so are quite cheap for anything to do with air rifles

I use a diving school at lakeside but i think they short change me.

so do i. Got 5 springers. Only bought the pcp for ratting as it was so quiet at night, but i hardly ever use it, still end up taking a springer lol
