Filter Regulator

I am in the process of acuiring a compressor to do some spraying of my MG and setting up a system as in the tutorial.

Just seen these on the aldi web site http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/special_buys3_23683.htm anyone think it is worth buying on to go into the system or go for something else???

I had one and the filter bowl cracked after about a year. Also they have 1/4 bsp fittings, for spraying I'd go up to 1/2 inch. Also get a proper regulator from the likes of Thorite, I've had a lot of problems with the cheaper Clarke ones.

Had a feeling that might be the case was going to nip in tomorrow and see if they were 1/2 inch if they were not I wasn't going to bother!

I got this one last year, 10 micron filter and feels well-made, link. The missus has a fairly cheap Sealey too and it's not much cop. Not really worth buying a super-cheapo reg when it comes to the time & cost of doing a car.

Looking to get a filter regulator myself, what make model is that regulator? Link is not working properly anymore.

Any other suggestions for one? Going to be using it for spraying and plasma cutter.

I have a PCL drop out filter. Removes water to 99.9999% and filters to 0.5micron.

Best money you will ever spend on your compressor and tools.

That's normal, it's what the regulator is for.

Yea I know, but some regulators are not rated for that pressure, is the working pressure also the rated max pressure? The silver line one is 145 psi.

It's neither here nor there in pressure terms. They are tested at 50% load eve the rated pressure.

All of those 14psi units will work fine with your pressure settings. I run my big compressor at 350bar......
