Fire extinguishers stand for welding

Hello all.
I'm just a hobbies and weld up the odd exhaust or frame.
I use cO2 fire extinguishers as my gas not because it cheap just handy for me to get my hands on. I get a extinguishers for £10 so 2kg of gas for £10. I use about 3/4 of wire to extinguishers. (5kg spool)
I use a rtech 180 mig and seems to get a good weld well good enough for what I do. I made some bottle stands

10kg for 2kg of gas dont sound cheap to me!

Maybe not but for all I use £10 every 2/3 months I don't complain.

All depends doesn't it obviously cheaper than any package on the market for your limited use

£10 a go is pretty cheap for the accessibility and size. Certainly cheaper than hobby gas.

Have you measured the gas flow with a peashooter? Inline ones are cheap. You might be able to turn the flow down a tad.

I used extinguishers and will again if I can't get argoshield at a low enough rate. It was rare that using them upright caused a problem but sensible that you've inverted yours.

There is a tube inside thats way u need to true it up side down to stop the rags freeze up some more pictures of the build.

. Used upright, I only had the regs freeze a couple times using about half a dozen extinguishers. Not saying it's right to use them upright but that unless you weld lots, it probably won't matter.
