was just looking for some help am sitting here in front of a fab open fire and my fireguard is shot and not very safe so was thinking bout making my own fireguard but am stuck when it comes to materials what kind of mesh and paint etc could i use for it thanks in advance

I made one in wrought iron style for a customer, used stove black paint and the infill mesh came from local steel suppliers, they had about 4 different sizes, not sure what they stock it for exactly but it looked the business when finished and was cheap
