first compressor

just got given my first air compressor .
it's first owner lent it out and it came back missing it's air filter
i've been looking on google but it appears that the air master name is quite popular, so im after some help to try and identify what make it is so i can try to find a air filter for it.

Airmaster is older Machine Mart Clarke manufacturing tackle isn't it ?. You should be able to make something to take an air filter element on that without too much trouble.

If you manage to get the proper one for it, it might be a good idea to get a head gasket for it at the same time judging by the amount of overspray all over it a clean of the reeds/valves might well be a good idea.

thanks for the replys guys, i'll contact clarke but with it being about 25 years old i doubt i'll have much luck with parts for it.
i know nothing at all about compressors so i'd better start looking for an idiots guide on compressor maintainance

Justin if you donot try then you never now.Well 25 years is a lot but we speak about an air filter there .I am sure if you not find a solution with clarke have contact direct ,the guys in Italy.I am sure if they reply they will come up with a solution.

i dont know for sure but i think that it's only the electric motor that was made in italy

just graft any air filter on it that will fit ; the one i use is of an old stihlsaw a tin can will do with holes drilled in it and fill it with filter mesh from a cooker hood

just been looking through a box of old parts in my man cave and found an old motorcycle airbox with a new filter in it. looks like my hoarding might pay off again
