First time forging

So bought my self a cheap devils forge off eBay because I fancied giving it a go. a member on here sourced me a mighty fine heavy anvil and well I fired her up yester day decided to try make some "simple" horse shoe hearts. started out pretty obsimally however im at about 8 hearts now and I feel Im getting there! still lots to learn!

few more little bits I have done, Mixture of some forge work and cutting / welding. all then wire wheeled and clear coated. Im currently working on another project a big gate sign but no pictures of that currently

So what better thing to do with a new skill at Christmas but make gifts!

Did a few bits, heart candle holders, more stable names, a rasp hunting knife and someone requested on of the butterflies how ever the biggest project to date was a new sign for my parents plant nursery standing around 2.5 meters tall and a tad over 1 meters wide with reflective writing it went down a storm ! made my self a little scroll jig and it wasn't too much of a drama to make either but I enjoyed doing it!

Cheers guys! Yeah I have down sized hammers a bit to a 2lb ball pien instead as i have found its a bit less stress on my arm/ hand come the end of the day !

Needed a work shop knife and I saw a chap on you tube gary Houston make a real cool one , took a piece of broken farriers rasp about 3 inch long and this is the result , pretty happy!

With valentines day around the corner I thought Id make the other half a little something, turned out quite well if I do say so my self. just need to thing of a way of mounting it or something
